Gorgeous, rich graining visible throughout, seen in the splendid combination of persimmon, bamboo and kiri (paulownia) woods. Fabulous design accents within the central display area include Mount Fuji accent and sinuous shelf. Traditionally used to store/display items associated with the tea ceremony, this elegant chest features several sets of sliding doors as well as roomy drawers as additional options for enclosed storage. Light, graceful metalwork adds to the overall elegance of this refined piece. A beautiful example of traditional tea tansu craftsmanship. Very good condition.
