Dramatic Japanese small clothing chest tansu, ko-dansu, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Stunning metalwork throughout. Multiple drawers and metal-studded bar and cabinet below. Chest fashioned of richly grained cedar wood. A striking yet functional piece and a remarkable addition to any room. Comes with working key. Very good condition. Dimensions: 25” high, 24” wide, 13.5” deep.
