Wonderful Japanese Naga Mouchi lacquer kiri wood trunk, late Edo period, c. 1800-1860.  Deep red lacquer finish with black lacquer border.  Great lockplate in the shape of Daikoku’s treasure bag.  Spacious storage area.  Perfect at the foot of a bed or as an eye-catching display piece.  Very good condition with appealing age-old distress.  Obviously a much loved and well utilized piece!  Dimensions:  23” high, 34” wide, 15” deep.
