Beautiful Japanese handcarved wood ranma, early 20th-century. Wonderful thousand rib motif.  Skillfully carved with great detail. Sturdy, warmly colored cedar wood.  Ranma are traditionally used in a Japanese room between the sliding room divider and the ceiling. The open work ensures easy flow of air from room to room. We have a pair, order one or both! Today, they serve as gorgeous decorative accents in any setting.  Very good condition. Dimensions: 72.5” x 14.5”.
