Skillfully carved with great detail. Sturdy, warmly colored cedar wood with deep chocolate-colored lacquer frame.  Ranma are traditionally used in a Japanese room between the sliding room divider and the ceiling. The open work ensures easy flow of air from room to room. Today, they serve as gorgeous decorative accents in any setting. Very good condition.
