Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Refined Japanese half-mizuya dansu or kitchen chest tansu, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Traditionally used to store kitchen utensils and supplies. Elegant, subtle design with a pair of roomy, paneled cabinets.  Warm, golden cypress and cedar woods.  A lovely work of kitchen tansu craftsmanship and a fine example of traditional charm. Shown here with optional standard wooden stand. Very good condition.
