Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Large, magnificent Japanese two-section mizuya-dansu or kitchen chest tansu, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912.  Traditionally used to store kitchen utensils and supplies.  Finely crafted of cedar, cypress and dramatically grained keyaki woods  Elegant, eye-catching construction offers abundant storage space in large and smaller cupboards housed by several sets of sliding paneled doors. Multiple and varied drawers offer additional storage options. A dramatic example of superb Japanese tansu style.  Very good condition.
