Superb Japanese lacquer Naga Mouchi cedar wood trunk, late Edo period, c. 1800-1860.  Deep red lacquer finish.  Great lockplate with further iron fittings on drawer and base and along edges.  Perfect at the foot of a bed or as an eye-catching display piece.  Very good condition with appealing age-old distress.  Obviously a much loved and well utilized piece!  Dimensions:  19” high, 35” wide, 19.5” deep.
