Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Elegant Japanese mizuya-dansu or kitchen chest tansu, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Traditionally used to store kitchen utensils and supplies.  Fine combination of golden cedar and cypress woods.  Abundant storage space in large cupboards housed by sliding wood and paper panels and drawers in a variety of sizes.  A lovely example of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.  Very good condition.
