Wonderful Japanese mizuya-dansu or kitchen chest tansu, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Traditionally used to store kitchen utensils and supplies. Lovely design offers abundant storage in large cupboard housed by sliding doors. A pair of drawers offers additional storage options.  Fine combination of cedar, cypress and keyaki woods with great graining.  Graceful mokko-style handles. An excellent example of kitchen tansu craftsmanship and traditional craftsmanship. Very good condition. Dimensions:  " high, 37.75" wide, 17" deep.

This is how it works. Once an item has been ordered, payments are divided evenly in three or four installments over a period of as many months.
