Description Return Policy Ask About Layaway   Dramatic Japanese keyaki (zelcova) wood Tokyo style hibachi (long firebox), Meiji period, c. 1868-1912.  Traditionally used to provide heat for visitors to the Japanese home.  With a customized piece of glass makes a striking coffee or side table.  Also lovely as jardinière or base for dramatic ikebana flower arrangement. Comes with original copper lining and iron grate.  A rare and exceptional item for the mingei collector! Very good condition.
