Rustic Japanese shoe chest tansu, early 20th century. Traditionally kept at the entryway of a house to store shoes removed while at home. Fashioned entirely of richly grained golden cedar wood. Panels above and below slide open reveal ample storage space.  Charming latticework accents.  Very good condition. Dimensions:  34” high, 21” wide, 14” deep.
