Subtle Japanese isho-dansu or clothing chest tansu, Meiji period, c. 1868-1912. Fashioned of warm, lightweight kiri and cedar woods. Bold, traditional metalwork features rectangular lockplates and heavy warabite style drawer pulls. Decorative bracketing surrounds the entire piece. Long, deep drawers offer generous storage space. Comes with customized wood stand. Very good condition. Dimensions: 25” high (w/stand), 37.5” wide, 16.5” deep.
