Formidable chest fashioned of warm, lightweight kiri (paulownia) and finely grained cedar woods. Handsome traditional metalwork features bold, circular lockplates and graceful bracketing, making this a fine example of tansu craftsmanship. Long, deep drawers offer generous storage space.  Wooden stand adds height.  A sublime and functional piece exhibiting Japanese style and tradition.
